Rene Rodriguez has more than 20 years of experience as a finance executive with
expertise in managing financial operations, capital markets, investor relations, financial
analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. Immediately prior to Appgate’s spin-out,
Rodriguez was the CFO of Cyxtera since May 2017.
Since 2011, Rodriguez has also served as a Partner and the CFO of Medina Capital, a
private equity firm investing in high-growth cybersecurity software companies and a
founding member of Cyxtera. In that role, Rodriguez focuses on evaluating potential
investments, fundraising, fund administration and financial guidance across the firm’s
portfolio.
Rodriguez served in positions of increasing seniority at Terremark from 2005 until June
2011, most recently as Vice President of Financial Planning. In that role, he was
responsible for the reporting of the financial and operational results of Terremark and its
subsidiaries to its executive team and the investor community.
Prior to joining Terremark, Rodriguez held various positions at the Burger King
Corporation focusing on worldwide valuation, process improvement, investment
analysis and international fraud audits. Rodriguez started his professional career as part
of the assurance practice at BDO Seidman LLP focusing on the firm’s financial services,
technology, hospitality and aviation clients in South Florida, the Caribbean and Central
America.
Rodriguez received his bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of
Notre Dame and his master’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
